Freedom Road Creative Arts role into Birmingham
On Thursday 24th July young people from FRCA took part in a celebration event at the Custard Factory, Birmingham. The event was organised by Youth Music and was aimed at showcasing a range of projects that have been developed across the country. The group from FRCA have been working as volunteers on the Voltage programme which is part of Music 4 U, in organising a music event in Hull on September 4th at the Albermarle Centre. The event will feature British Beatboxing champion MC Zany as well as other local artists in providing a day of workshops and performance.
The event at the Custard Factory was hosted by Liverpool Rapper AJ Fitz and featured groups from South London, Gateshead, Cornwall, Lincoln and Shropshire who all performed to a high standard.
The FRCA Voltage Crew gave a short presentation on their project and then introduced Freedom Road who performed two tracks.
It was a cracking day and we hope to welcome AJ to the Albermarle Centre on September 4th to compere our event.
