Freedom Road Creative Arts Teaming up with Magburaka Freetown

Freedom Road now hopes to encourage teenagers in Magburaka Freetown to harness their creative skills at the new community centre. Ian Bolton, project manager at FRCA, visited Sierra Leone in the Autumn and was taken to Magburaka by his guide Tony Gbla who is from the town. On Ians trip to Magburaka he met three teenage rappers, SK2, Prince Lilliat and Samuel.

He wanted to give these youngsters a chance to record their songs so using money from a charity fundraiser held before christmas, FRCA has now shipped out a PA system and recording equipment.

Later this year Ian Bolton is planning to take six youngsters and six staff from FRCA out to Siera Leone to do some collaborations with the three rappers.
