MUSIC

Music has played a historic role in the development of FRCA from the early stages when the band Freedom Road became involved in the Wilberforce 2007 celebrations, to the present day where around 40 young people access weekly music making activities. Music, singing, songwriting and performance plays a huge part in the way in which the charity engages with the young people it works with.

At present we run the following weekly workshops:

TUESDAY: 4.45pm - 6.45pm
solo projects,writing & recording
@ Kingston Youth Centre

SATURDAY: 11am - 1pm
singing workshops
@ Kardomah, 94 Alfred Gelder Street, Hull

SATURDAY: 11am - 1pm
guitar / keyboard / percussion workshops

BANDS & ARTSITS

FRCA has a proud history of working with some of the best up and coming young artists over the past few years. All have, in one form or another played the youth stages facilitated and organised by FRCA at places such as Cottingham Springboard Festival, Humber St SESH, Tribfest, Freedom Festival and Trinity Festival.
