Rock Challenge and the Culture Train
have kept us all very busy!

Rock Challenge 2017; our 6th year in the competition, was yet again another brilliant experience for everyone involved.

Taking place at the Hull City Hall the competition this year featured entries from Ainthorpe Youth Centre, Bridges, Child Dynamix and eventual winners Route 1 and the Tiger's Trust.

The packed Hall enjoyed a vibrant, colourful and spectacular event and all those young people taking part must be congratulated in all their efforts and commitment.

For us; Dance Tutors, Jimmy and Anne Marie and of course our Dancers, proved again, the essential ingredients to our success in finishing 2nd this year. Well Done!

I must of course mention also Garry, Holly, Jack, Luke, Jonny, Lisa and Katie for their support throughout.

Following Rock Challenge it was the turn of our singers who took part in the Culture Train event. The brainchild of Chris Warcup of Quiet Riot, the idea was, that a range of local artists were given free train travel to towns and villages in East Yorkshire where gigs would be played.

As part of this, Chris invited FRCA to utilise space in Paragon Station to perform to passers by.

.

Alongside the Youth Steel Band from the Albermarle Centre, the event was a huge success with performances watched by large audiences including the statue of Philip Larkin who wore a baseball cap for the event!

The staff at Paragon Station must also be mentioned and thanked for their support and encouragement.
